Merkland Tank, a leader in tank cleaning, installation and decommissioning for over 100 years, is seeking an experienced

Class 1/2 Tanker Driver

to join our team. This is not just a driving role--you'll be a key part of our operational team supporting essential infrastructure across Scotland and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a range of specialist vehicles including Vacuum Tankers, Liquid Ring Tankers, Cyclovacs, and Jet Vacs Work closely with colleagues to safely set up hoses and be part of the Industrial Confined Space Team Working in confined spaces such as tanks, vessels and pits. Carry out High Pressure Jetting Carry out daily driver checks and ensure all plant and equipment are operated safely and legally Remove, transport, and dispose of waste before cleaning out the tanker Work on commercial and essential infrastructure sites across Scotland (and occasionally England) Be flexible with working hours, including early starts, late finishes, weekends, and overnight stays as required

What We Need From You

Experienced

Class 1 or Class 2 Tanker Driver

Physically fit and able to pass a medical Able to obtain security clearance for MOD sites Valid

Driver CPC

with strong tachograph knowledge Experience working with hazardous waste Experience operating vacuum tankers

ADR (tanks & packages)

- advantageous

Water Jetting

experience - advantageous

Confined Space with emergency rescue

- advantageous
