We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Tramper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations, primarily using flatbed vehicles. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities
Operate Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed lorries, for the transportation of goods.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing it appropriately for transit.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively.
Experience
Valid Class 1 driving licence with a clean driving record.
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with flatbed operations and securing loads is advantageous.
Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety practices.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
