Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Duties

Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and flatbeds, to transport goods to various locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport. Communicate with warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns professionally.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred. Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Experience working in a warehouse environment is beneficial but not essential. Must be physically fit to handle loading and unloading tasks as required.
