Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 2 Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods. This role is essential in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, making it a vital part of our logistics team.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries to transport goods to various locations safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items, especially when using flatbed configurations. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, particularly with flatbed vehicles preferred. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks as required.
