Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering both concrete and skips within a 20 mile radius of Nantwich. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. Duties

Operate a concrete lorry to designated locations in a timely manner. Operate a skip lorry to designated locations in a timely manner Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, including flatbed deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Manage routes efficiently to optimise delivery times and fuel consumption. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently. Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy items when necessary. A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
