We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Brick Hiab class 2 driver to join our client in Uddingston. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle deliveries with care and professionalism.
Duties
Ensure that all loads are secured properly before departure and during transit.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Assist in loading and unloading goods as necessary, ensuring careful handling of products.
Experience
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed lorries, is highly desirable.
A valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licence is required for this position.
Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and customer service.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in the logistics industry.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
