Responsibilities

Operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle on designated residential routes. Safely and efficiently empty bins

independently

, without a crew. Use an

iPad

to follow daily routes, report bin issues, and record payments or notes. Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and report any defects. Maintain accurate records of collections and any incidents as per company procedures. Follow all road safety regulations and company policies at all times. Interact politely and professionally with residents.

Requirements

Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.

Clean licence preferred.

Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. Previous experience in waste collection or driving large vehicles is an advantage, but not essential. Strong understanding of road safety and vehicle compliance. Good physical fitness and willingness to work in all weather conditions. Comfortable using an iPad or similar device for route and data input. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to work well independently.
