Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and professionalism. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering traffic conditions. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are properly secured for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery receipts. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Adhere to all company policies and procedures as well as local traffic laws.

Experience

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role within the commercial driving sector is essential. A valid commercial driving licence (CPC) is required. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
