Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Experience with flatbed and commercial driving is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to road safety and vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and minimise delays Load, secure, and unload cargo safely, ensuring the integrity of goods during transit Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any faults or issues promptly Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with legal requirements Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or any unforeseen delays Adhere to all health and safety protocols during driving, loading, and unloading procedures

Experience

Proven experience as a tramper delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or commercial vehicles Valid driving licence suitable for operating large vehicles (e.g., LGV or HGV licence) Demonstrable knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving Prior experience with delivery routes and logistics management is advantageous Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during deliveries
