Job description
We are seeking to recruit an excellent classroom practitioner to work in either KS1 or the FS and to be our SENDCO. The successful candidate will join Castle Hill - a vibrant, creative school where the children are enthusiastic and happy learners.
Dates: Required for September 2025
The successful applicant will have a proven track record in teaching in the FS or KS1 and in inclusive practice. We seek an outstanding classroom practitioner to support the Head Teacher in providing opportunities to further raise standards and improve outcomes for all our children, particularly those with SEND.
We are looking for someone who:
Is a highly motivated and committed outstanding practitioner with proven experience of teaching children with a wide range of abilities in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1.
Has high expectations for all children and is committed to realising their potential, using assessment data to adapt teaching to meet children's needs.
Is able to inspire, challenge, motivate and support children, staff and governors.
Has the ability to ensure the strategic development of SEND.
Has a commitment to further develop the inclusive ethos and values of the school.
Has a high level of emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills.
