Purpose of post

To provide high quality teaching and learning for children.

To contribute to the life of our school.

Main duties and responsibilities

To be an excellent classroom practitioner in Key Stage One (Y1).

To deliver the core curriculum with flair, ensuring that children continue to make excellent progress each day.

To plan lessons thoroughly.

To mark books and give high quality feedback daily.

To write an annual report for every child.

To understand and use assessment procedures effectively.

To support children with additional needs.

To ensure the care and well-being of children.

To report any Safeguarding concerns in the correct manner.

To work efficiently with all other adults in the team.

To take on specific tasks or duties that may be reasonably assigned by the Head teacher, depending on experience.

To embrace and develop the vision, ethos and policies of the school.

To take on other tasks or duties that may be reasonably assigned by the Head teacher.

To maintain a positive ethos.

Qualifications -

Qualified Teacher Status - Essential

Qualified to degree level - Essential

Relevant experience and/or Training in Primary School - Essential

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
