To have qualified teacher status or early years' teacher status
To have recent experience of teaching children across the primary age range
To have attended recent, relevant courses or pursued other forms of professional development
Be an excellent classroom practitioner
Communicate effectively in a variety of ways
Self-evaluate and evaluate progress of others
Deliver effective and outstanding learning and teaching in the classroom.
Liaise with relevant staff with regards to class and whole school issues
Lead, support and motivate staff and children to raise attainment
Working with parents/carers, governors and the local community
Promote effective links and build quality relationships with parents/carers, relevant agencies and the local community for the benefit of individual children and the whole school
Knowledge and understanding of curriculum development
Understanding of the needs of groups of children and families who may experience barriers to learning so as to ensure that inclusion is at the heart of educational delivery
Have a clear working understanding of assessment procedures and practice
Full understanding of and willingness to implement safeguarding procedures
Be an effective team player
Manage your time effectively
Good attendance and punctuality
