About Us
Northchapel Primary is seeking an exceptionally creative, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Class Teacher to join our amazing established Team. The successful candidate will be particularly caring and champion our Safe, Kind, Ready motto. They will possess excellent pedagogical skills; hold QTS and be willing to work across mixed year groups. We also desire a candidate with strong links to English, with opportunities to help lead and develop the curriculum across the school.
We offer a very friendly and supportive atmosphere across the team and the school community located in the South Downs National Park. We are very proud to have a lovely swimming pool for children to learn to swim from reception age. We work very closely with our locality colleagues to provide extensive CPD opportunities; opportunities to lead subjects. Most importantly, we offer the loveliest, enthusiastic children who crave to learn.
Although we require the position to be filled from the beginning of the summer term, 2026, we would be happy to consider enabling the successful candidate to start in September 2026.

Salary: TMS 1-6
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday Full time
Location: Northchapel, Petworth, West Sussex.
Interviews: 4th February 2026
