Job Description

The Governors, staff and children at Willow Tree Primary School are looking to appoint an excellent

and hardworking classroom teacher for one of our Key Stage 1 or 2 classes. We are looking for a

professional who has a passion for teaching and learning and is committed to our school values.

If you are talented and ambitious, possess a real flair for teaching and learning and are passionate

about delivering Quality First Teaching and would like to join our vibrant school, then this is the job

for you. We want people who are caring and committed and who want to be part of a team.

The successful candidate will:



Have experience of teaching across the primary age range.

Be an excellent classroom teacher with the ability to reflect on their own practice.

Have an excellent understanding of how children learn.

Have a secure understanding of behaviour and the importance of relationships.

Have the ability to secure pupil progress and accelerate learning.

Create a stimulating, organised, interactive and informative learning environment that encourages

each child to achieve their full potential.

Be able to inspire and motivate children with engaging high quality teaching.

Work in partnership with parents/carers and other members of staff to promote the well-being

and educational progress of each pupil.

Be an excellent and positive communicator with both children and adults and

a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
