We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Classroom Assistant to support and enhance the learning experience for students and will contribute positively to the classroom environment.

Class Assistants are an essential part of daily life in Kumon Study Centres. The role of the Class Assistant is to support the delivery of the Kumon math and English programmes. Class Assistants play an essential role in the study centre, providing support for the students and ensuring the centre runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
Welcoming and settling children into class and check in on register.
Provide one-on-one support to students ensuring their engagement and understanding of the material, and also to be able to invigilate a few students at a time.
Help manage classroom behaviour by reinforcing positive behaviour strategies and providing guidance as needed.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere as well as a safe and organised classroom environment that promotes learning and development for all children.
Collaborate with instructor to assess student progress and provide feedback to parents.
Marking children's classwork and corrections on the Kumon App and on paper.
Provide notes and feedback to instructor.
Be able to assist students to connect different tablets to the internet and operate the Kumon App effectively.
Any other admin task as required.

Previous experience working with children, particularly in a classroom setting is desirable.
Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with students and parents.
Qualifications
Authorised to work in UK (Required)
If over the age of 16, an enhanced DBS certificate. If you do not have a valid certificate, you are responsible to obtain your own DBS certificate as soon as you started working at the centre. (Required)
The Poole Rossmore Study Centre is committed to protecting the welfare of children and young people. Recruitment is subject to DBS check and satisfactory references.
Training in relevant aspects of the Kumon method of learning and class procedures will be provided.
Part-time hours: 3.50-7 hours per week.
Hours: Mondays 15.30 - 19.00.
Rate of pay: Dependent on age and experience.
Must be available to attend training sessions at other specified times.
Location: Bourne Hub Community Centre, BH12 4DY.
