Liaise with: Duty Manager

Summary

To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across designated areas, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff, customers, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas (e.g., offices, classrooms, toilets, kitchens, corridors). Sweep, mop, vacuum, polish floors, and dust surfaces, furniture, and equipment. Empty bins and dispose of waste in line with site procedures. Clean and sanitise washrooms, restrooms, and kitchen areas. Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly. Ensure equipment and cleaning materials are stored securely and used safely. Follow health and safety policies, including COSHH and infection control protocols. Lock and unlock buildings/rooms if required for early or late shifts. Adhere to safeguarding procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Person Specification

Essential:

Previous cleaning experience (commercial or domestic) Understanding of cleaning techniques and use of relevant equipment Ability to follow instructions and work independently Awareness of health and safety standards and COSHH regulations Good time management and reliability Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks

Desirable:

Experience working in a hospitality or care setting Basic knowledge of infection prevention measures DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo one, depending on setting)

Pay: 12.00-15.00 per hour
