Job Description

Self Employed Cleaning position . To perform high quality cleaning procedures, whilst working in a safe and effective manner. To ensure that all areas of the practice are regularly cleaned, paying attention to the practice policy in respect of infection control and Health & Safety. Use a range of cleaning items and products, following C.O.S.H.H. guidelines at all times which we will provide. You will need to provide your own cleaning uniform/overalls as required.

Key Tasks:

To clean all areas of the practice to a high standard, including sweeping & mopping clinical areas and treatment rooms Clean, vacuum, tidy and polish the common areas of the practice such as reception, office areas, waiting rooms, staff rooms and toilets Disinfect frequently touched surfaces in the practice Empty designated waste bins, including clinical waste bins Ensure appropriate use of any cleaning products Ensure appropriate colour coded cleaning equipment is used Ability to use a ladder for high level cleaning i.e. of top of cupboards General clearing of foliage/rubbish around the practice yard Obey all confidentiality and Data Protection guidelines and follow practice policies correctly Key holder - may be required to secure the practice

Beneficial Experience:

Experience of cleaning a healthcare environment is desirable To be familiar with Confidentiality and Data Protection Acts To be familiar with C.O.S.H.H
