Job Description




Work Pattern - Monday - Thursday 3.00pm - 6.00pm, Friday 3.00pm - 5.15pm.

The hourly rate is \xc2\xa310.85.

A vacancy has arisen for a Cleaning Operative within the authority\'s Dumbarton area. The Post holder will be responsible for the provision of a high quality, responsive cleaning service within the premise. The successful candidate will be required to carry out general cleaning duties ensuring high standards are maintained while adhering to Health and Safety guidelines at all times.

Applications are invited from individuals who can offer availability across both day time and late afternoon work patterns. Applicants will be asked to select their preference according to their availability. Please note that whilst some degree of flexibility in working maybe considered the core cleaning times are as stated.

We have a number of positions within Schools which offers Term Time contracts as well as our Office estate which offers 52 week contracts.

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found .

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975.
