Cleaner

Part time position - 5 hours per day Monday to Friday

Location: Usk, Wales

Based at: Allt y Bela

Salary: 15-17 per hour dpe

Main purpose of job

We are seeking a highly responsible and detail-oriented Cleaner with proven experience in cleaning and maintaining high-value interiors, including antique furniture, historic items, and artworks. The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, discreet, and have a gentle, methodical approach to specialist cleaning in a private residence, estate, gallery, or heritage environment.

Main duties & responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties across designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping.

Carefully clean and maintain antique furniture, period pieces, and valuable artwork using appropriate non-abrasive products and techniques.

Monitor the condition of delicate items and report any concerns or observed changes in condition

Use specialist equipment and conservation-safe products where required.

Follow established cleaning protocols to preserve the integrity of historic or fragile items.

Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment in all areas.

Adhere to any specific guidelines or instructions provided by conservation experts or property owners.

Maintain confidentiality and security of the premises and contents at all times.

Assist with occasional deep cleans, seasonal rotations, or event preparation.

Essential:

Strong attention to detail and patience with delicate tasks.

Knowledge of safe cleaning methods for different materials (e.g., wood, stone etc)

Excellent time management and reliability.

Trustworthiness and discretion when working in private or high-value settings.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 15.00-17.00 per hour
