Job Description

We have an opportunity for an experienced cleaner to join our supported housing service, Dyfrig House, in Cardiff on a part-time (16-hour shifts), Permanent basis.

It is essential that the successful candidate has a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle.

Where does the role fit in?

The role involves working across different properties. Our team supports individuals who experience homelessness and are motivated to address their problematic alcohol and substance use issues. We are looking for someone to be part of a team that provides an efficient and effective cleaning.

Your day will consist of:

You will provide a cleaning service to our property and will be expected to carry out a range of tasks that include:


Vacuum-clean carpeted areas & sweep and wash non-carpeted floors Dust and polish furniture Clean windows, windowsills, glass doors Disinfect and dust toilet areas including restocking of consumables Sort rubbish for recycling Clean and disinfect external bin stores; place/return wheelie bins on weekly basis for collection Clear litter and accumulated rubbish from internal and external areas Sweep car parks and internal courtyards and external staircases Clean communal kitchens & bathrooms Occasionally required to assist with supporting cleaning bedrooms ready for new Understanding of health and safety requirements and how to report them
