St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint a permanent cleaner/caretaker starting in September 2025.
We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in their working environment and feel proud about the work they do.
This is a permanent year round position. Working hours: Monday to Friday - 15.30 - 18.30.
These hours will change during school holiday closure to carry out a deep clean of the school. This role will require you to be a key holder and have responisbilty for locking up the school site every evening.
Responsibilities and person specification:
Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and high standards of your designated areas within the school. Replenish consumables such as, paper towels, soap, toilet paper and bin liners.
Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops
Mopping floors with wet or damp mops
Hoovering of carpeted areas
Clean kitchens, toilets, urinals, hand basins and sinks
Use initiative daily to maintain high standards
Report any Health and Safety issues to the Caretaker
Clean to an extremely high standard
Must have great attention to detail
