Background

Openwide Coastal Ltd have operated Cromer Pier in partnership with North Norfolk District Council for the past 17 years. The pier includes The Pavilion Theatre, Pavilion bar, Tides Restaurant, Ice Cream Kiosk, Box Office and Retail outlet.

We currently have an opportunity for an all year round Cleaner and Maintenance person to join our team.

Job description

The Cleaner role is to make sure our areas within the pier maintain a high level of cleanliness, ensuring that security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards.

Key responsibilities

Sweeping and mopping floors in bar area To vacuum the auditorium, dressing rooms, stairs and floors Dusting or damp wiping the furniture, ledges and window sills Cleaning of cupboards, shelves and fitments Replenishing consumable items (soap, toilet rolls) if required. Cleaning public toilets, floors and hand basins, refilling hand soaps. Follow all health and safety regulations in line with the health and safety policy

Additional general responsibilities for the post holder

Undertake other duties as the senior management team may from time to time require.

Personal qualities

Can maintain a good level of attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Light Maintenance experience an advantage Flexible and adaptable. Have a positive attitude Reliable Friendly Previous experience in a cleaning environment. Knowledge of cleaning substances and techniques preferable. Be able to work without supervision. Be able to follow a schedule and work to deadlines. Good timekeeping

Hours of work

Cleaning will mostly be required within the hours of 6am-10am. There is some flexibility to start and finish times. There will be 2 days cleaning a week and additional hours in maintenance .

This is a Part Time position but there are other positions within other areas of the pier to top up hours if required.
