The Role
To ensure that all College grounds, entrances, circulation spaces and social spaces are environmentally friendly and aesthetically welcoming. To build up a good relationship with the students and encourage them to respect their environment
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
Check, tidy and remove waste from designated open learning areas and study areas
Respond to urgent cleaning requests as necessary (communicated via phone/radio)
Remove graffiti from external areas as requested by the Cleaning Manager or the Estates Department
Clean an allocated area as designated by the Cleaning Supervisor, Manager or Estates Department
Clean the Factory Lane Sports Pavilion as required
Act as a key holder for Factory Lane Sports Pavilion

The Successful Candidate
Cardinal Newman College is a wonderful place to work, and this is an exciting opportunity for a enthusiastic and experienced candidate to join our friendly and well established Estates department.
The Estates department is looking for someone who has good team working skills, basic knowledge of health and safety in the workplace and can manage their time efficiently
You should display the values, attitudes, and behaviours consistent with the Catholic Ethos of the College and have a commitment to equality/diversity and the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults.
Terms and Conditions
Hours
: 14 hours per week, 11.00am - 2.30pm, full year (52 weeks).
Salary
: The post will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges' Support Staff Pay Spine at point 3 24,309.07 per annum (inclusive of 502.07 per annum living wage top up). Actual Salary 9,198.03 per annum.
