Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our Facilities Management team based at a university campus in Ealing. This is a permanent full-time position working 48 hours per week, Monday to Saturday from 07:00 to 16:00 with a one hour unpaid lunch break.

Key Activities:

  • Reporting to the Cleaning Manager to supervise the cleaning team.
  • Undertake general cleaning duties as required including cleaning floors, toilets, furniture, emptying bins etc.
  • Ensure the safety of cleaning equipment before use and reporting any defects
  • Clean and return all cleaning equipment to the designated storeroom and ensure the housekeeping in the room is compliant
  • To perform regular quality checks and audits on cleaning the standards
  • Monitor consumable usage and order materials as required, undertaking regular stocktakes
  • Support and deliver on HR related staffing issues including performance, sickness, timekeeping etc.
  • Complete annual appraisal reviews and regular one to one meeting with direct reports
  • Monitor compliance of COSHH and Risk assessment records
  • Deliver Toolbox Talks to the team
  • To ensure all standards of cleaning carried out by staff is of a high level and in line with contractual expectations
  • Working 48 hours per week, Monday to Saturday from 07:00 to 16:00 with a one hour unpaid lunch break
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience of working in an FM/Cleaning environment with supervisory responsibility for employees
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with the client group
  • Experience of managing/supervising a team of cleaners
  • Excellent customer service skills and a high standard of work with attention to detail
  • Adaptable and flexible can-do approach with a willingness to learn
  • IOSH trained - desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of COSHH
