Clearsky Technical Project Manager



18 month fixed term contract




Location: Cheltenham, UK

Role Overview:



The ClearSky Technical Delivery Projects Manager is responsible for the technical aspects including scoping, specification, design and delivery of the ClearSky Phase I & II projects (Electrification of Onsite Steam Generation) which will involve leading a cross functional team (Internal & External), project management and delivery of the project. Delivery objectives would include all associated Civil, electrical, mechanical (inc steam) works. The role will be responsible for ensuring that the installation meets safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives while complying with regulatory and internal standards.







Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on:





Clear Sky I



Take ownership for the completion of the Clear Sky Phase I project which includes:

Completion of original ClearSky I scope of works:

Manage H&S activities for Clear Sky project Engaging with internal stakeholder and contractors to complete outstanding action OpEx Budget projections for operating the new plant equipment Complete SOPs and other documentation to allow transition of Clear Sky Operations to site Maintenance

SteamBattery (SB) Operational improvement and maintenance

Coordination of activities with SPX suppliers to meet required internal timescales Manage activity related to the on going operation of SB Manage the planning, delivery, install and commissioning of upgrades Define plan for continued operation of SB i.e clear procedures, standby contractors needs, subject matter expert team etc.

Clear Sky II



Scoping- Develop the scope of works of Clear Sky II project with clear milestones and deliverables Specification- Develop the Clear Sky II specification to include M&E, Steam system, Civils and other associated infrastructure Design- Develop system design in conjunction with subject matter experts (internal & external). Costing & Budgeting- Cost the project with the aim of developing the CapEx proposal for Executive approval and sign off. Throughout the project- responsibility of delivering in line with agreed budgets Delivery & Commissioning- Successfully deliver the project to agreed timescales and budgets utilising internal and external capabilities as per plan.

Other:

Communication- Regularly communicate progress, barrier and general activities to key stakeholders including leadership teams and Cheltenham based colleagues.

To be successful in this role you will...





Demonstrate Company Core Values at all times Engineering Degree or HND or Equivalent Experience Design experience of electromechanical products and hardware associated with industrial steam or other fluid applications essential. Previous leadership of large scale multi discipline projects Previous involvement in product designs that meet legal compliances for industrial products and equipment, with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pressure containment or sustainability standards. Prior CDM experience Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely Proactive and detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivery Expertise in the thermal electrification of steam systems Expertise in mechanical industrial steam or other fluid applications with high-pressure or temperature applications Good understanding of harmonised standards for example e.g PED / ASME Contractor management
