The Governors of Hafodwenog School are seeking to appoint a Clerical Assistant to work 9 hours per week, starting from September 2025. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly community school in a busy and varied administrative role.
The successful candidate will be based in the school office and will play a key role in ensuring that frontline services run smoothly on a day-to-day basis, as well as supporting the wider school administratively. The role includes being the first point of contact for pupils, staff, parents and visitors, and a professional, calm and empathetic approach is required at all times.
Responsibilities will vary from day to day but will mainly focus on reception duties and related clerical tasks. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and respond flexibly to the school's needs.
It will be possible to divide the hours over two or three days a week (Preferably Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).
