Clerical Officer
Location: Lisburn
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday 8am to 4pm)
Salary: 12.21
Contract: Temporary
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting Clerical Officers to join the Speech and Language Therapy Department within the Primary Care and Older People Service in Lisburn. As a Clerical Officer, you will provide vital administrative and clerical support in a busy healthcare environment. Working as part of a team, you will ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of services while supporting patients, staff, and the wider Trust.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Reception duties and handling queries.
  • Use of computer systems for data input and retrieval.
  • Maintenance of both electronic and manual filing systems.
  • Processing mail, collating information, and preparing reports.
  • Taking and relaying messages accurately and promptly.
  • Making appointments and arranging meetings.
  • Preparation and transportation of medical and other records.
  • General office duties such as photocopying and faxing.
What We're Looking For:
Applicants must meet one of the following:
  • 4 GCSEs (A-C including English Language) or equivalent qualification, OR
  • NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent qualification), OR
  • 1 year's administrative/clerical experience.
Additionally:
  • Experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (or equivalent).
  • For some posts: 1 year's word processing experience (not essential for all posts).
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a professional attitude.
