About the role





As the Clerk of Works your manager will be our Development Manager. You will work 37 hours a week on a permanent basis, working flexibly in the Vico Homes operating area based at our Head Office in Castleford.



As the Clerk of Works you will support the delivery of Vico Homes' ambitious multi-million-pound housing development programme of 500+ homes per annum, ensuring that new build and regeneration projects are completed to the highest quality and safety standards. This includes overseeing compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and internal procedures. You will work closely with various Development service team members - New Business, Delivery, Sales and Aftercare to provide effective end-to-end project management, with a strong focus on delivering positive outcomes for our customers and communities.

Quality control of S106 schemes throughout the Yorkshire and Humberside region Defects inspections on a range of development schemes Arranging site visits with Project Manager's reporting on progress

What you'll do




Inspect construction works to ensure quality, safety and compliance with contracts, regulations and specifications Monitor site performance and progress, reporting on risks, quality issues and adherence to project timelines and budgets Contribute to design and specification development, ensuring new homes are robust, maintainable and meet customer expectations Lead and document snagging inspections, ensuring timely resolution of defects before and after handover Collaborate closely with contractors, consultants and internal teams to support high-quality, efficient project delivery

What we're looking for




NVQ Level 5 in Construction Management and membership of ICWCI, with significant experience in a similar role Strong knowledge of new build construction, development, acquisition and sales as well as new build products and programmes Strong communicator with proven ability to produce clear reports, engage both internal and external stakeholders, build effective relationships and deliver customer-focused services whilst proactively planning and mitigating risks Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and flexibility to travel and work outside normal office hours when required
