Client Account Director - Aviation - UK&I, Europe & India



Reports to: MD, Global Aviation UK&I, Europe & India

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Client Account Director to lead and grow key client relationships including Heathrow Airport. This key appointment will take ownership in driving revenue performance across key clients whilst ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and project execution. You will act as the primary point of contact for Heathrow and other key clients, responsible for building trust, ensuring satisfaction, and identifying growth opportunities.


The successful post holder must be a strong and visible leader who is able to inspire, motivate and build teams, and communicate effectively. Collaborating with AECOM members across all Business Lines and Operating geographies, they will lead and manage our activities across Heathrow and other key aviation accounts, establishing strategies and driving growth.


As the Client Account Director, you will have a client-centric approach where your focus will be understanding client needs and working across our company to offer solutions that deliver value and support our aim of building a better world. In doing so, you will bring the best of AECOM to the client, on time, every time. This role includes supporting and embedding client account initiatives, processes and systems across the client program.



Roles and Responsibilities:



Client Relationship Management:



Responsible for identifying key business leaders, decision makers and influencers within the client organisation Responsible for maintaining the Client Account Plan, setting out the relationship management, client growth and client management strategy Develop client contacts and networks within the client's business and meet client contacts regularly

Best Practice:



Be known as the key point of contact for the client(s) Develop a strong network across the AECOM business in order to understand our capabilities and experience across the aviation capital lifecycle Build an extensive network across our Regional Business Lines and with key members of Global aviation business line Demonstrate the ability to influence leadership to ensure our clients' issues are addressed and prioritised

Business Development & Commercial Management:



Develop a thorough understanding of the project opportunities within the client organisation Actively monitor and report the client pipeline, developing a strong understanding of revenues from projects being delivered, in pursuit, and to be pursued Lead the capture of significant new business opportunities and the renewal/extension of existing large-scale agreements within the account Support Capture Managers to win and Project Managers to deliver the large programs of work at Heathrow

Strategic Leadership:



Mentor other team members in building strong relationships across the organisation Connect internal teams to the client vision and ensure the team is client focused to ensure the clients get the best AECOM experience every time Identify evolving resourcing needs for client portfolio and escalate within the aviation practice Work effectively with colleagues in the Strategy, Marketing and Communications teams to maximize the end-to-end approach to client development and work winning Perform and promote the leadership behaviours enshrined in the AECOM core values - Collaborate, Innovate, Deliver, Sustain, Thrive, Safety, Ethics & Quality

Innovation:



Continual focus on raising AECOM's profile and brand at Heathrow and across the aviation industry through innovation and thought leadership Drive client adoption of key AECOM initiatives such as ESG and digitalization Act as a conduit to position AECOM's innovative solutions with our key clients Partner with our key clients to respond to their innovation agenda.

Quality:



Identify areas of high risk and pro-actively take actions to positively impact outcomes Champion for ethnical and safe working practices Monitor and executive oversight of client projects to ensure high quality delivery, technical excellence and consistent client service experience


Qualifications



Have established client relationships at Heathrow and other airports Recognised aviation industry leader who demonstrates a strong external presence in the market In depth Aviation market knowledge Experience of client management programs from other companies in the aviation industry Ability to set short- and medium-term goals and strategies for the account to align with the client's needs Ability to lead, mentor and coach Strong commercial acumen with an inquisitive and curious mindset Agile, impactful and collaborative
