You will be instrumental in the preparation of accounts and tax returns, contributing directly to our clients' success and the overall efficiency of our practice under the guidance of our Client Services Manager.

What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):

As a Client Accountant, you'll be a vital part of our production team, with plenty of scope to learn and grow. Your role will involve:

Accounts Production Excellence:

Preparing comprehensive statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.

Tax Return Preparation:

Preparing corporate tax returns (CT600s) and personal tax returns (SA100s) for business owners and directors, ensuring full compliance with current tax legislation.

Quality & Technical Support:

Working closely with the Client Services Manager to ensure work is of the highest standard and receiving technical guidance and support when needed.

Client Communication:

Communicating directly and professionally with clients to resolve queries, gather necessary information, and build strong working relationships.

Process Improvement:

Actively contributing to identifying and implementing efficiencies within our accounts production and tax return processes.

Continuous Development:

Staying updated with evolving accounting standards, tax legislation, and software functionalities to maintain high professional standards.
What We're Looking For

(Required Experience & Skills):

We're seeking a proactive and meticulous professional who is eager to contribute to our success. You'll need:

Qualifications:

Minimum Part-qualified ACCA/ACA or AAT Level 4 qualified, or possessing equivalent practical experience in an accounting practice environment.

Accounts Production:

Solid, proven experience in preparing statutory accounts for various entity types.

Tax Returns:

Demonstrable experience in preparing both corporate and personal tax returns.

Software Proficiency:

Highly proficient in Xero and other relevant accounting software.

Technical Knowledge:

A strong technical understanding of UK accounting standards and tax legislation.

Attention to Detail:

Exceptional accuracy and a meticulous approach to financial data and documentation.

Communication:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.

Teamwork & Initiative:

The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
