As the Client Asset Manager for Finance you will be contributing to Mainstay\'s vision to be recognised as the market leading provider of services to the UK\'s property sector. Mainstay is a professional service organisation, that delivers business expertise and service across the property industry.

Main Purpose of Job

To lead and develop all Client Asset Management Finance Teams to provide sustainable and consistent market leading solutions through being customer focused and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Position in Organisation

This role reports to the Head of Client Finance - Asset Management with 4 direct reports from 2 teams.

Main Responsibilities

  • Line management responsibility for the Client Asset Finance & Ground Rent teams
  • Oversee Billing, Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Treasury and Bank Reconciliation activities in the Client Asset & Ground Rent divisions
  • Responsible for monthly KPI finance reporting and analysis to internal and external stakeholders
  • To understand, implement and develop project-based activity as required by the client
  • Maximise resource and process opportunities through the implementation of continuous improvement methodologies
  • To manage customer experience through timely resolution of queries
  • Develop mitigation plans and controls to manage, eliminate and reduce risk
  • Ensure full compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Encourage a collaborative approach across all company departments
  • Set an example for others by championing the Company values
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required within the Business Services function
Key Interfaces
  • Internal departments and key executives
  • External businesses and organisations, in particular key customers and clients
Experience * Excellent understanding of accounts procedures and processes with established accounting technical knowledge
  • Strong management and leadership experience gained in a property management environment in a similar role. Able to lead by example to support, motivate and coach teams and colleagues
  • Expert knowledge of prevailing legislation and codes of practice relating to client monies
  • Proven knowledge of operating systems, processes, and banking protocols
  • Able to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and manage projects through to completion
  • Dynamic problem solver with the ability to generate ideas and solutions
  • Enthusiastic to embrace and drive Company initiatives, strategic plans, and delivery of change
  • Excellent organisation skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Confident communicator - both orally and in writing; able to build influential, engaging, and collaborative relationships with all colleagues, at all levels with both internal and external points of contact
  • Reliably demonstrates the ability to work both independently and within a team environment, handling multiple projects, and able to prioritise activity in line with risk and deadline pressures
