Role Purpose



The Client Engagement Consultant takes ownership of managing client relationships and is responsible for the growth and development of those relationships. They are also responsible for developing and executing the business development strategy in order to realise the overall objectives of the business.

In addition, this role comes with engagement and new business development. This role is responsible for prospecting, developing and delivering new engagement opportunities, either through new customers, or new services to existing customers.

Key Responsibilities



Sales and New Business



Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, to generate new business and referrals. Build and maintain a wide network of industry-relevant contacts. Actively pursue sales research, including prospecting and lead generation, identification of client needs, proposal creation and delivery, and reviews of client accounts. Direct sales activity including calling, e-mailing and online networking. Communicate and manage the entire client sales journey from awareness, through attraction, conversion and retention. Lead Business Development activities, in preparation of pitches, presentations and solutions where required.

Client Relationship Management and Delivery



Build and maintain strong client relationships with multiple contacts including HR, L&D and executive/board, leveraging the position to retain clients and generate ongoing business. Work with clients to develop a detailed understanding of their organisation, environment, current and future challenges. Collaborate with the Leadership Consultants and other Dove Nest Group staff to ensure development of the right solutions to meet the client's needs. To provide high standard of delivery to cohorts of learners as required by the business inclusive of travel and any overnight stays.

Business Administration



Keep abreast of current developments and trends in the L&D, Apprenticeship, business and management worlds in order to offer up-to-date and relevant solutions. Champion and maintain consistency throughout the Dove Nest Group brand values, communications and client engagement strategies. Follow company processes in place for ensuring workflow is completed by relevant teams.

Other Duties



To maintain and build up good staff relations with other departments and company units, becoming an active member of the Dove Nest family. To be aware of and adhere to Dove Nest Group Policies & Procedures and act upon them accordingly. To communicate respectively with colleagues, clients and learners. To keep a clean, smart appearance in accordance with the Dress & Appearance Policy. To be aware of and adhere to all Dove Nest Group rules and regulations ensuring they are actioned as requested by the company's Health and Safety Policies. To be vigilant at all times to ensure the safety & security of the property, guests, other employees & self. To carry out any other reasonable requests made by Senior Management.

Person Specification



Essential



Experience in a similar sales and account management role, specifically in Learning and Development or Apprenticeships. Extensive knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration and sales techniques. Experience in Leadership Development, Apprenticeship Development or Learning and Development. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient in the use of social media tools including LinkedIn and YouTube. A passion for sales and business development and a willingness to work collaboratively. A strong degree of self-reliance, tolerance for ambiguity and an ability to influence others positively. Good listening skills, actively engage with the speaker, understand their message, and respond thoughtfully. A critical thinker capable of identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Independent, capable of working and communicating without a large infrastructure. Self motivated and driven. Flexible, willing to travel when required, this will include overnight stays. Hold a full valid driving license and/or access to a form of transport which will allow the post holder to meet the requirements of the job in full.

Desirable



High levels of emotional intelligence, resilience and persistence. A desire to 'break the mould' and push boundaries with new and innovative ideas. Experience of using HubSpot or similar software.
