About the Job

At JLL, we are driving sustainability through everything that we do, across all service lines and job positions. Specifically, we are growing our Sustainability practice to drive end-to-end sustainability solutions in real estate across lifecycle.

In this role, you will work directly with one of our high-profile clients, an international investment management organization, to lead on the programme management and delivery of sustainability services across their UK assets. As a senior member of the JLL Sustainable Operations Team with a deep knowledge of the needs of our client\xe2\x80\x99s programme, you will ensure they are capturing the opportunities that JLL\xe2\x80\x99s full suite of sustainability services has to offer. You will act as an accelerator and collaborator across all areas of our sustainability services to enable our client to increase engagement across stakeholders and progress towards goals.

What this job involves

You will be instrumental in implementing and optimizing new sustainability programmes in direct collaboration with the client\xe2\x80\x99s sustainability team.

The role will be focused on communication and innovation across internal and client teams to integrate feedback, remove roadblocks and leverage opportunities.

Bringing applicable in-house JLL tools and processes to the client for problem solving

Understanding the implementation of sustainability across the life cycle of commercial real estate, including critical stakeholder roles, strategic decision-making and how to leverage data tracking and monitoring.

Advising the client on opportunities for JLL to support larger programmatic elements, as needed, to bring all-in-one solutions for the client\xe2\x80\x99s discretion

Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of all sustainability activities across the client\xe2\x80\x99s real estate portfolio.

Contribute to the client responsible property investment strategy and drive the delivery of key objectives.

Providing strategic direction and guidance on ways to enhance and expand service delivery to the client, including leveraging supply chain partners, internal collaborations and the broader Energy and Sustainability Services team.

Establish strong working relationships with JLL teams, Contract Directors, Client Relationship Directors and serve as the point of contact and advice for all sustainability related matters Collaborating with other JLL service lines on the account (Real Estate, Finance, Projects, FM and procurement) to deliver an integrated energy and sustainability solution to the client.

Effectively tracking and communicating success stories to ensure a high level of awareness and engagement is achieved regarding the overall energy and sustainability program.

Demonstrating innovative thinking and proactive management in bringing new ideas and solutions to the client, and ensuring they are rolled out effectively.

Develop and enhance systems and processes for delivering best practice sustainability performance and use of utility/sustainability management systems for monitoring and/or reporting purposes.

Interested? An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications

Desired experience and technical skills

University Degree (environment, sustainability, science, engineering, or related fields)

Ideally 8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in managing and delivering sustainability related services to real estate clients.

A sustainability related qualification and a deep understanding of sustainability issues relevant to real estate.

Passionate about working towards a sustainable future.

An excellent understanding of the key sustainability issues within real estate including, but not limited to; decarbonization, embodied carbon, circularity, resource preservation, biodiversity, climate risk, health & wellbeing, and social value creation.

Experience working with corporate clients, commercial property, property managers and an understanding of the landlord and tenant relationship is desirable.

Excellent ability to build relationships with clients and their internal teams.

A strong track record integrating sustainability into organizations\xe2\x80\x99 operations.

Experience working in a collaborative way with clients and other stakeholders to develop ambitious and robust sustainability programmes.

Proven project management experience and excellent communication skills

Attention to detail and accuracy in written and numeric work.

Ability to obtain buy-in and engagement from employees at all levels.
