Role and Responsibilities
The Client Manager has a pivotal role within our company, responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships whilst managing the overall risk. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills and be a team player. The individual will be responsible for managing a mixed portfolio made up of Factoring and Invoice Discounting clients, monitoring client ledger performance, reviewing of, and managing the risk.
The Client Manager is responsible for (but not limited to);
+ To manage clients in a manner consistent with industry best practice, to ensure exceptional client service and extended client life, whilst balancing the risk and reward
+ Maintaining a good understanding and knowledge of the way each client conducts their business.
+ Clients to be managed in accordance with applicable credit parameters at initial sanction with the agreed Operational conditions to be applied and monitored tightly.
+ Ability to write high quality client reviews, variations, and uplifts to senior management.
+ Applying for, removal or reduction of debtor credit lines by analysing and evaluating new credit risks within authorisation
+ Installing appropriate internal triggers to highlight potential issues and ongoing monitoring thereof through the weekly escalation process reviewing collection targets, level of unapproved debt, dilution, and verification.
+ Monthly monitoring of Client Compliance and ongoing Operational conditions
+ Identifying warning signs / be alert for changes in client and consider ways in which to reduce the possibility of fraud / bad debt and to take appropriate action.
+ Understand the clients business and be able to formulate an exit strategy.
+ It is expected that you will maintain a professional and confident approach
+ Ad Hoc verification of debts prior to the advance of monies
+ Review and propose overpayment requests, assess risk and viability, to include payment.
+ Overall monitoring of debt performance, analysing facility statistics to identify potential red flags, and proactively acting on anomalies.
+ Any other such tasks as required by the business.
+ Assist other team members as required.
+ Compliance with all company processes and procedures to include AML & KYC regulations, GDPR, and to conduct business in line with the ethos and principles as detailed in the employee handbook

Previous Experience Essential
The ideal candidate will have financial services and/or client management experience
Experience of Factoring
Desirable
Experience of Risk analysis
Understanding of Statistics
Financial accounts basic understanding
Product knowledge of Invoice Discounting and Trade facilities and understanding of key features and risks
Skills, knowledge & ability Essential
Microsoft skills to include both Word and Excel
Ability to work closely with other people in a variety of roles
Organised, methodical with an eye for detail
Be confident working with technology/willingness to learn new systems
Team Player
Self-motivated able to work alone or as a team member to successfully achieve given tasks to specific deadlines
Good problem solving and decision making skills
The ability to work under pressure and always maintain a high standard of work
Versatile with strong organisational and interpersonal skills

Expectations
This is an office-based role where you will be expected to work as part of the team.
There may be a requirement for you to attend client meetings to maintain a good understanding of the client needs and how Pulse can best service these.
