Summary of Role



To effectively support fee earners and clients through all aspects of the Know Your Client (KYC), Anti Money Laundering (AML) and conflict checking requirements, as well as understanding and prudently implementing client set-up, including client due diligence procedures

Key Tasks



Collects and reviews CDD for new & existing clients, which may involve liaising internally with fee earners and externally with clients / others as appropriate. Conducts, reviews and interprets electronic verification checks, including carrying out adverse media, PEP and sanctions screening and reporting the results. Provides constructive support to fee earners in respect of AML, CDD and conflicts analysis and act as a point of contact. Conducts self-service file reviews as part of a wider AML ongoing monitoring regime, to include assessment of CDD material and risk assessments, liaising with fee earners and matter partners to ensure compliance with AML PCPs. Completes MS workflow tasks & matter management as required, including closing / re-opening task flows and carrying out data analysis and rectification on client / party contacts details. Assists the more senior team members in delivering induction training in conflicts and onboarding to new starts and as part of the trainee inception programme. Handling of ad hoc requirements to assist the wider Risk Team, e.g., system change, audit, policy review, police reporting, data breach reporting etc.

Qualifications and Experience



Advanced Word / Excel skills. Database management experience. Some knowledge of AML regulations / legal conflicts. Researching, investigating, analysing and reporting background.
