Role purpose





To oversee the work of client service teams, providing instructions and guidance as necessary ensuring work is carried out efficiently and a high level of client service is provided at all times.

Principal responsibilities




To lead and motivate client service teams ensuring tasks are carried out accurately and timely. To allocate work to the appropriate team members and ensuring adequate cover is in place to cover the workload and provide a high quality of service at all times. To identify and solve problems raised within the team. To train new team members and to identify and resolve training needs among existing team members. Appraisal and recruitment of team members. Participate in regular team meetings with fellow Team Leaders and Managers to ensure communications and workflow standards are maintained. Proactively review working practices and discuss with other Team Leaders and Managers as appropriate, and on approval, to implement changes. Maintain lines of communication with partners, fee earners and other support staff.

Technical knowledge, professional qualifications and experience




Diligence, organisation, pro-activeness and teamwork are essential qualities for this position. Experience in a team leader position (Desirable). Ability to manage high volumes of work efficiently. CIPA IP Administrator certification desirable but not essential. At least 3 years' experience working in an IP related role. Good knowledge of Inprotech & CPA Direct Five GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent. Good working knowledge of Windows 10 & Office 2016 suite.
