Client Services Account Director (maternity Cover)

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Client Services Account Director, Brave Bison Performance

Who are we?

A world where complexity is the only constant demands a new breed of company. Brave Bison is a different beast: a media, marketing and technology company purpose built for the digital era.

Our universe is made up of award-winning business arms Brave Bison, Engage and SocialChain. And we're underpinned by our very own social-first media network who deliver monthly views in the billions for some of the biggest channels in sport and entertainment across YouTube, Snap, Meta and TikTok.

We're a global collective who live and breathe digital, working with some of the boldest brands in the world to capitalise on the complexity that defines the modern marketing landscape.

Our mission

New platforms, new behaviours, new audiences, new trends, new technologies, new regulations--our clients' worlds get more complex daily. Their agency partnerships shouldn't. It's our job to cut through the chaos, make the complex simple and navigate a clear path to growth for them.

That's why we make it our mission to

capitalise on complexity

for our clients--by crafting dynamic digital solutions that outpace tomorrow's challenges.

Our values

We're a proudly diverse business comprised of deep specialists across social media, digital marketing and technology. Although our skills, backgrounds and beliefs may differ, we are united by four core shared values:

Bold Curiosity.

We run at change and challenge convention because we love to push the boundaries of what the world thinks is possible. We champion discovery, go deep into our clients' worlds and are always hungry to learn more about them, our specialisms and each other.

Connected Clarity.

We are focused in our collaboration -- joining the right dots between our clients, our partners and our herd of experts to deliver agile solutions at speed and scale. We set a shared ambition from the outset, are transparent at every stage and always strive to make the complex simple.

Positive Encouragement.

We want to make working with us the best part of someone's day. We lift one other up, find the fun in the day to day and are committed to ensuring everyone belongs.

Constant Impact.

We believe in outcomes over outputs. We're goal orientated, results driven and data-led. We show up with passion every day. And we're always honing our craft.

About Brave Bison Performance

With over 20 years experience growing our clients' businesses through digital media, we help brands leverage the right data, right partners and right tech to capitalise on complexity and supercharge their online growth.

By going deep into our clients' world, investing their budget where it will work the hardest and ensuring that we only win when they win, we stand for braver digital in a world of opportunity.

The role

London based position, with flexible working opportunities available.

We're looking for a commercially astute and strategically driven Account Director to lead some of our most ambitious client partnerships.

As an Account Director, you'll be the senior voice in the room--trusted by clients to deliver transformative digital marketing solutions that directly impact their growth. You'll lead multi-disciplinary teams, shape strategy, and take full ownership of your portfolio's performance, profitability, and potential.

You'll be the expert on your clients' brands, industries, and business goals--bringing forward-thinking ideas and market insight to influence decision-making at the highest level. You'll thrive on solving complex challenges, spotting commercial opportunities, and ensuring our work delivers measurable value across SEO, content, digital PR, data, and UX.

If you're passionate about building strong senior relationships, enjoy leading high-performing teams, and want to shape the direction of client partnerships and the agency alike--we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Strategic leadership across a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring alignment with client business goals, long-term growth, and exceptional service delivery. Build and nurture senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and the go-to voice for digital strategy and commercial performance. Maintain a deep understanding of client KPIs, challenges, and marketing ecosystems, translating insight into strategy and results. Lead internal account teams across delivery disciplines, ensuring effective collaboration, prioritisation, and seamless execution. Develop and own Account Development Plans, renewal strategies, and long-term financial forecasts--balancing growth, retention, and profitability. Lead high-impact client interactions including quarterly business reviews, insights presentations, and strategic workshops. Oversee scope definition, financial planning, and legal documentation in partnership with Finance and Operations. Maintain strong control over financial performance, monitoring profitability and resourcing your accounts. Enforce agency quality standards, ensuring all work delivered is on time, to scope, and aligned to client expectations. Support and mentor Client Services team members, setting the tone for performance, communication, and growth across your teams. Advocate for clients internally, sharing opportunities, feedback, and case studies to inform innovation and agency-wide improvements.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for a seasoned Account Director who thrives at the intersection of strategic leadership, client advocacy, and commercial performance. You'll be confident owning big relationships and big decisions--balancing the needs of clients with the priorities of the business. You'll be an expert in translating digital capabilities into solutions that drive real business outcomes and know how to guide teams to deliver at a consistently high standard. Equally at ease navigating C-suite conversations or mentoring junior team members, you'll bring clarity, integrity, and ambition to everything you do.

Desired experience and attributes:

5+ years' experience in a client leadership role within a digital or integrated marketing agency. Proven experience growing and retaining complex accounts, with commercial ownership and strategic influence. Comfortable operating at client C-suite level--able to advise, challenge, and align senior stakeholders across marketing and business functions. Deep understanding of digital marketing channels (especially SEO, content, and digital PR), with the ability to connect dots across data, UX, and performance. Strong commercial acumen and experience managing multi-service budgets, scopes, and financial forecasting. An enthusiastic, collaborative mindset--motivated by growth, client success, and team excellence. A confident, clear communicator with excellent presentation, storytelling, and negotiation skills. Organised, proactive, and accountable--able to juggle complex needs, manage ambiguity, and drive momentum.
