Enrych is a well-established charity with a proud history of supporting disabled people to live with purpose and achieve their goals. Founded by Leonard Cheshire and Sue Ryder in 1986, we are committed to breaking down societal barriers and creating inclusive opportunities through a range of services, including our Personal Assistant (PA) support for disabled people, employability programme, and wellbeing activities.

We have recently been awarded a new contract with the County Council to deliver additional support services across the region, and this position will play an important role in establishing the new service within Enrych during the first few months.

Purpose of the Role



To provide office-based administrative support to our operational delivery teams, clients and their families. Additionally, to provide short term cover to support clients in their own homes and out in the community, as part of our contract with Leicestershire County Council to support individuals living with disabilities, and their carers, across Leicestershire.

Based out of our office in Coalville, you will be a highly-organised, task-focused team player who is happy working flexibly to meet a diverse range of priorities. The work is likely to be split between working in the office/at home and providing 1-2-1 support to adults with disabilities, and their carers, in their homes and out in the community, across Leicestershire. The work is busy and varied, requiring accuracy, tact, and compassion.

This is a temporary role for 3 months, with the potential to be extended or made permanent depending on funding and performance.

Key Responsibilities



Deal with all telephone enquiries; Undertake triage assessment for new enquiries and process or re-direct accordingly; Create and manage rotas for support workers and cover arrangements for sickness and holiday periods; Liaise with social workers and health care professionals; Support operational team with new business growth (despatching referrals forms and dealing with general enquiries via telephone, email and website); Assist the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator with Support Worker recruitment; Maintain office diaries as required; Provide 1-2-1 support to adults with disabilities, and their carers, in their own homes and out in the community; tasks might include shopping, attending appointments and activities with the client, cleaning, meal preparation. Any other duties which may from time to time be required.

Person Specification



Essential

Flexible team player; Proven ability to problem-solve, work on own initiative and to deadlines; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Excellent IT skills - full Microsoft Office experience - especially Outlook, Word, databases and Excel; Experience of dealing with sensitive situations and managing confidential information; Proven ability in diary management; Confident and competent driver with full UK driving licence and own vehicle; Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check; Customer service experience; Commitment to the values and objectives of Enrych.

Desirable

Experience and demonstrable understanding of disability issues; Understanding of the Care Sector; Experience of working in a customer focused role; Experience of Third Sector environments and activities; Understanding of quality control and continuous improvement in a regulated service.
