Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clients Finance Team for the appointment of a Finance Assistant.
The team manages the finances of clients under the jurisdiction of the Court of Protection. Duties will include all aspects of the day to day management of a client's financial affairs, for example, receiving income, paying bills, making purchases and providing personal allowance.
Other duties will include: making payments to Direct Payment service users, liaising with service users and their family members, service professionals and other external agencies.
Training will be provided for of all aspects of the role and will require a level of financial knowledge, administration and ICT literacy. Candidates would be expected to have excellent communications skills both written and verbal and have a keen willingness to learn. Knowledge of services provided by the Council's Community & Children's Services Group plus welfare benefits is desirable although not essential.
