The Role
We're looking for 2 x friendly, confident and reliable team members to join us as Climbing Marshals & Assistant Instructors at F51, our flagship indoor facility with a state of the art climbing centre. This seasonal role offers the opportunity to support climbers of all ages, ensure safety throughout the venue, and deliver brilliant customer service from the moment people walk in.
You'll work across the climbing walls and bouldering areas, support with inductions and group sessions, and help with day to day centre operations. For qualified or experienced candidates, there's also the opportunity to deliver lessons at an enhanced hourly rate.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and support climbers with check-ins, waivers, and general enquiries.
Marshal climbing and bouldering areas, ensuring safety rules are followed.
Assist or lead climbing sessions, inductions and casual drop-ins.
Carry out daily safety and equipment checks.
Keep climbing areas clean, well-organised and ready for use.
Report any faults or safety concerns to the management team.
Use reception systems to manage bookings, memberships and payments.
Provide information about parties, events and climbing programmes.
Work as part of a friendly, inclusive and supportive team.
What We're Looking For
Must be
18+
at time of appointment (essential).
Strong communication and people skills.
Confident working at height and in a busy, physical environment.
Comfortable working with children and supporting group activities.
Available to work across varied shifts, including weekends and evenings.
Reliable, calm under pressure, and proactive in your approach.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a climbing centre.
Climbing qualifications such as CWI, CWDI, First Aid or Safeguarding.
Experience delivering or assisting with group sessions.
Familiarity with bouldering and ropes operations.
Knowledge of climbing centre software (e.g. Roller).
DBS check and safeguarding training.

Working Hours/Pattern/Contract/Salary:
Monday to Sunday during the hours of 08:30am-11:00pm.
F51 hosts a number of events which will require work patterns extended to 2am.
Zero Hour Contract with variable hours up to 37.5 hours available per position.
Salary - National Minimum Wage based on age.
Seasonal position with immediate start until end of September 2025 with the possibility of ongoing position.
