. This new clinic will bring our high standards of care and innovative approach to the local community, offering a more personalised and accessible healthcare experience outside the capital.
Role Summary
This is a unique dual-role opportunity where you will manage the clinical and operational aspects of the Essex clinic while also delivering direct patient care. As Clinical Manager, you will lead a small, close-knit team, ensure compliance with CQC regulations, and continuously develop the quality and safety of our services. As a Nurse, you will carry out a range of clinical duties including phlebotomy, health screenings, and patient assessments.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Operational Management
Lead and oversee the daily clinical operations of the clinic.
Ensure smooth patient flow, high standards of care, and efficient coordination of services.
Actively participate in clinical duties including consultations, injections, wound care, phlebotomy, and diagnostics.
Supervise and support healthcare assistants and reception staff.
Liaise with the clinic director and administrative team on service planning and improvements.
Governance & CQC Compliance
Act as the
Registered Manager
for the clinic with the CQC.
Maintain compliance with the
Fundamental Standards of Care
.
Keep all clinical documentation, protocols, and risk assessments up to date.
Lead and document internal audits, infection control checks, and safety reviews.
Support and respond to regulatory inspections, maintaining readiness at all times.
Quality & Patient Safety
Manage incident reporting, investigations, and service reviews.
Coordinate safeguarding processes and ensure all team members are trained.
Promote a culture of learning, improvement, and patient safety.
Team Leadership & Training
Line manage junior clinical staff and support administrative coordination.
Organise staff rotas and ensure appropriate skill mix on duty.
Deliver or coordinate mandatory training, including basic life support and infection control.
Support performance reviews and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications & Experience
Registered Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration (required).
Minimum 2 years of clinical management or senior nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
Experience in CQC compliance, audits, and clinical governance processes.
Strong multitasker with the ability to combine leadership and hands-on care.
Confident communicator with a patient-first mindset.
Desirable
Experience in a private or independent clinic.
Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager.
Knowledge of diagnostic services (e.g., MRI, ultrasound).
Phlebotomy certification and experience in outpatient procedures.
