About the role



The Clinical Education Manager is a key role for the Drager Medical business, responsible for developing and executing the Clinical Education strategy in alignment with local, regional and global business objectives.



The role includes both the development and implementation of Clinical Education to strengthen Drager's position as specialists in acute care. With a focus on both the array and design of educational content, as well as the communication and utilisation of the training materials, this position demands exceptional collaboration and operational skill combined with a commercial outlook.

Understanding Customer & Market Needs


Understand the educational needs of our market and customers extracting insights that help deliver customer value and maximise our growth, sales and profit opportunities.

Analyse the competitive education offering to understand effective practices and how Drager can deliver competitive advantage.


Clinical Education Development & Strategy


Lead, develop, manage, and advocate for Drager's Clinical Education strategy in line with overall business strategy.

Design the local strategy ensuring alignment with Draeger's global clinical education strategy.

Work closely with key stakeholders to embed clinical education across the team through the commercial planning process.

Develop educational programmes that deliver meaningful value to our customers and clearly distinguish Drager's offerings.

Work with Clinical Team Leads to develop annualised educational program that will be certified in line with global academy standards.

Provide regular and informed updates to the Commercial Leadership Team and relevant department heads.


Market & Customer Campaigns and Tactics


Build the external customer communications plan for Clinical Education, effectively promoting Drager as a specialist in acute care.

Work with the marketing managers and communications team to embed clinical education into external marketing campaigns and tactics


Operational Excellence


Work closely with other Drager countries to find areas of best practice and apply to UK & Ireland as appropriate.

Ensure all relevant people within our organisation are properly trained to effectively deliver clinical education programmes as appropriate.

Ensure clinical education programmes are effectively managed and monitored; and design and report appropriate KPIs.

Ensure continuous check and improvement of internal processes and procedures in accordance with the Drager standards, to facilitate work and ensure the quality of output.

Reporting Relationships





Manager - Head of Medical Marketing



Size of team/environment - No direct reports but requires close working across the marketing, clinical, account management and leadership teams.

Your Qualifications

Role Requirements





Education/Qualifications


A higher education qualification (e.g. degree or MBA) in a business-related field is desirable but not essential

Qualifications in a clinical education or related field is desirable but not essential


Related Experience


Background or experience designing, establishing and managing educational programmes strongly preferred.

Experience in a clinical environment highly advantageous.

Experience working in a commercial team with connection to sales and profit delivery very valuable

Experience working in a large organisation balancing local, regional and global objectives beneficial

Role will include travel across the region (UK & Ireland) for internal collaboration, customer meetings and events up to 50% of time. Head office is Hemel Hempstead which will be a hub for meetings. Occasionally international trips may also be required. Travel needs will typically be pre-arranged and accompanied with adequate notice.
