The role
:
We are seeking a Clinical Lead to provide leadership and supervision to the clinical team. The successful individual will be an enthusiastic and highly skilled registered healthcare professional with substantial experience in the support and management of neurodiversity, in addition to experience of supervising junior team members.
The Clinical Lead will report to the Clinical Team Leader and be responsible for service quality and improvement with support from other members of the Senior Management Team.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
:
Provide leadership and supervision to the clinical team
Act as a member of the Senior Management Team, attending monthly meetings and feeding back on areas of responsibility
Staff Management
:
Supervision of Associate clinicians and line management of substantive clinicians, including appraisals and supporting development
Clinical support to the administrative team to review and manage referrals and provide clinical advice
Quality, Compliance and Clinical Governance:
Work with the team to ensure service users receive a high standard of care, conducting investigations where required
Ensure compliance with CQC and statutory regulations, and current legislation, maintaining accurate records of such
Contribute to audit and review of policies and procedures as required
Manage and maintain records of patient risks in liaison with other members of SMT
Clinical
:
Complete Neurodevelopmental Assessments to a high standard (number a week to be discussed with individual)
Deal appropriately with safeguarding concerns and responsibilities
Any other duties as deemed to be within the scope of the role
Knowledge / Education / Skills:
Professional registration with a recognised body
Strong clinical experience in neurodevelopmental conditions
Understanding of CQC and statutory regulations
Passionate about providing high quality care and service improvement
Demonstrated leadership/supervisory and decision making abilities
Forward thinking, proactive and innovative
Able to deal with multiple issues simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment
High level of integrity and able to implement boundaries
