to join our growing team on an adhoc, self-employed basis. This role is ideal for a highly skilled and motivated registered nurse at Band 7 level (or above) who is passionate about maintaining high clinical standards and supporting our Complex Care Nurses.
The Clinical Lead Nurse will provide professional leadership, carry out competency assessments, support with revalidation, and ensure compliance with best practice in complex care delivery. This is a flexible role, designed to provide clinical oversight and mentorship as needed, rather than on a fixed full-time schedule.
You'll play a key role in ensuring that Falcon-Care continues to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Leadership and Support
Provide expert clinical guidance and mentorship to Complex Care Nurses.
Support staff with clinical decision-making and complex case management.
Carry out competency assessments in line with professional standards.
2. Revalidation and Professional Development
Assist nurses in preparing for and completing NMC revalidation.
Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing professional development.
Share up-to-date clinical knowledge and promote evidence-based practice.
3. Quality and Compliance
Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, policies, and regulatory standards.
Support audits, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.
4. Collaborative Working
Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families where required.
Contribute to service development and enhancement of clinical standards.
Provide leadership input into clinical governance processes.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
Registered Nurse (Adult, Learning Disability, or Mental Health) with valid NMC registration.
Substantial post-registration experience in complex care or community nursing.
Experience in assessing clinical competencies and mentoring staff.
Desirable:
Previous experience in a Band 7 (or equivalent) leadership role.
Knowledge of clinical governance, revalidation, and audit processes.
Postgraduate qualifications or advanced clinical training.
