, is seeking an experienced and motivated
Clinical Lead
to support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Nurse with leadership experience who is passionate about clinical excellence and team development.
Purpose of the Role
The Clinical Lead will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager by providing strong clinical leadership and oversight of nursing and medical care within the service. The post holder will ensure care delivery meets regulatory requirements, best practice standards, and the individual needs and preferences of service users.
Key objectives include:
Supporting the Registered Manager in providing effective leadership to care and support staff
Leading, supporting, and facilitating the nursing and medical needs of service users
Deputising for senior management when required
Maintaining up-to-date clinical skills through training and development
Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, regulations, and best practice standards
Key Responsibilities
The Clinical Lead's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring service users remain at the heart of care delivery, with their wishes and preferences respected
Managing the day-to-day delivery of care and supporting staff to maintain high standards
Ensuring care records and organisational documentation are accurate, compliant, and up to date
Providing clinical guidance and support to care staff on nursing and medical matters
Acting as shift leader to ensure the effective running of the unit or designated area
Ensuring all staff receive regular supervision and annual appraisals
Overseeing rota planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix
Promoting and protecting the welfare and safeguarding of all individuals supported
Developing positive and effective working relationships across the staff team
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external healthcare professionals
Identifying risks, concerns, and opportunities for service improvement and sharing these with senior management
Essential Criteria
Registered Nurse with a current
NMC PIN
Minimum
1 year's experience
in a relevant clinical leadership or supervisory role
Experience working in a similar care environment
Experience supporting service users with additional or complex needs
Knowledge of rota planning, staffing levels, and skill mix management
Experience of mentoring, coaching, and supporting staff development
Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and action planning
Ability to embed improvements and share best practice across teams
