Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Clinical Manager to join and lead the Acute Community Services. Our service is focused on providing high-quality crisis assessment and short-term treatment to individuals in mental health distress, aiming to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.



The job brings together five key teams working across three sites, with the service broken down into three broad functions



Telephone Mental Health Crisis Line

Mental Health Crisis assessment

Intensive Mental Health Crisis treatment



The successful candidate will work closely with the Service Manager, to deliver all functions safely, with a focus on improvement and co production with service users and system stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities in collaboration with the Acute Community Services, Service Manager are:



Lead and manage a group of multidisciplinary teams in delivering effective crisis assessment and short-term treatment.



Oversee the development and implementation of care delivery for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises.



Ensure high standards of clinical practice and adherence to service policies, targets and procedures.



Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting continuous professional development, improvement and staff wellbeing.



Work closely with external agencies, community resources, and families to deliver comprehensive care pathways.



Monitor and evaluate service delivery and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement.



Provide an escalation route and support system within the ACS leadership structure.



One night a month on call as the 'on call senior manager'



Qualifications and Experience:



Professional registration in mental health nursing, social work, or occupational therapy.



Significant experience in mental health crisis management and community services.



Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.



Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
