, you will support the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services, including prescription screening, patient counselling, overseeing the dispensing of high-risk drugs and acting as the Responsible Pharmacist when required. Reporting to the Lead Pharmacist, you'll ensure high standards of clinical care, contribute to staff training, and help maintain operational efficiency.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinically screen prescriptions
Deliver directly and support others in the clinical effectiveness of accuracy checking, patient advice and other services
Provide advice and counselling to patients, in accordance with agreed protocols
Escalate any site capacity or demand queries to the Site Manager for resolution
Track the volume of prescriptions received against the site daily capacity
Support internal training and development of new staff members
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures - fixed and temporary
Support the development of new Standard Operating Procedures
Contribute to the identification of continuous improvement opportunities
Contribute to clinical governance by undertaking any necessary tasks
Ensure compliance with CPD requirements for the GPC
Demonstrate and promote the company's values at all times
Ensure compliance with all company policies
Other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time
Knowledge, Skills, experience and Qualifications Required
Essential
Registered with the GPhC with no adverse Fitness to Practice record
Degree in Pharmacy
Current pharmacy experience in the UK
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills - must be able to recognise and overcome barriers to understanding e.g. language, deaf, learning difficulties
Efficient at planning and organising
Use of a pharmacy computer system
Demonstrable commitment to CPD
Fluent written and spoken English
Full UK permit Clean DBS or able to pass one when required
Desirable
Experience of working in a hospital pharmacy
Post-graduate certificate or diploma in clinical pharmacy
Qualified Independent Prescriber

The post holder is required to demonstrate on-going continuous professional development.
At no time should the post holder work outside their defined level of competence or outside of defined SOPs.
