Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Independent Pharmacist Prescriber who is ready to take a lead role in patient care. Beyond the clinical expertise, we need a motivated team player who is happy to be "hands-on" in the daily rhythm of the pharmacy, ensuring our prescribing services are both seamless and safe.

PharmacySpace is a family run digital pharmacy, based on the northside of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. We predominantly supply monthly medication trays to care homes. We also have a wholesale pharmaceutical company and dispense prescriptions through private clinics.

You would work as a Responsible Pharmacist with the usual daily responsibilities of clinically checking dispensed prescriptions, both Private and NHS. This is a unique and exciting role in which you would also have the opportunity to liaise with the wider clinical team and will therefore be able to apply your prescribing degree alongside our specialists and consultants. Standard hours are Monday to Friday. 9:00am to 5:00pm, longer working hours can be negotiated for the right candidate. Salary open to negotiation, and set based on experience.

This varied role will require you to have good communication and organisational skills. Your level of attention to detail and accuracy must be excellent.

Ideally you will have 2 years experience working as a prescribing pharmacist. However, this is not essential as full on-the-job training will be provided, including any additional courses required to supplement your prescribing degree.

Key responsibilities:



Following standard operating procedure and processes in the preparation of customer orders. Clinically checking dispensed prescriptions Where applicable, working alongside our specialists to provide excellent care to private patients and subsequently signing private prescriptions Managing web orders and product maintenance Communicate and coordinate with our pharmacy team and external clients, including but not exclusive to, suppliers, GP surgeries, private clinics and other professionals. Data input and analysis Post and correspondence

Key Skills/Experience/Requirements:



Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Working as per the GPhC Standards Being familiar with NHS prescribing pathways and guidelines Confident referring to and using the BNF Good working knowledge of IT packages e.g. Word and Excel Ability to work independently/use initiative Excellent telephone manner Ability to learn detailed internal procedures Excellent organisation skills with ability to prioritise Good team player

Pay: 60,000.00 per year
