Job Description

We are seeking to recruit an experienced prescribing clinical pharmacist. You will be part of our in-house pharmacy team and supported by the wider Clinical team.


The ideal candidate will be:


Passionate about medicines optimisation, patient safety, and enhancing health outcomes A strong team player who enjoys collaboration with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Proactive and innovative, always looking for ways to improve service delivery
This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, high-achieving practice with a supportive clinical team and to shape medications management processes to enhance patient care. This is a full time permanent position. Interviews will be held in December 2025. No agencies.


Dolphins is an established and growing practice of 11000 patients in central Haywards Heath. We have a stable team of GPs leading a multi-professional clinical team. We offer a highly collaborative environment where we work together to deliver care to our patients. We are a teaching practice and value open communication and our culture of continuous learning. The whole team participates in a daily patient safety huddle where clinical queries are shared and we check in on how everyones day is going.

Main duties of the job




monitoring and optimising patients medical therapies including by offering your own reviews and carrying out Structured Medication Reviews Ensuring CQC compliance as it relates to our prescribing processes and the optimum delivery of medications management LCS including High Risk Drug Monitoring, Highest Ongoing Needs and Frailty, Severely Mentally Ill (and others as required) and also taking a role in delivery of Quality Outcomes Framework Delivering all patient care is in line with current legislation and clinical guidelines Collaborating closely with the clinical team to provide personalised, high-quality care

Person Specification




Essential




Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification Registered member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Independent prescriber * At least two years experience of working in primary care
