This post will work mainly in the neuropsychology team but joint working across other pathways will be encouraged;
Long term conditions service, working with the Wellbeing service
Persistent Physical Symptoms Service (PPSS) for patients with Persistent pain (and Chronic Fatigue, CFS)
Neuropsychology and Stroke Rehabilitation/Wellbeing
Familiar Faces for patients who present frequently within the health care system (High Intensity Service Users)
Maternal mental health
The service is considered locally and nationally as an exemplar service, offering new and innovative models of psychological care; we have good working relationships with commissioners. The post holder will become part of a team providing psychological care to patients with Neuropsychological difficulties on inpatient wards and in the community. They will work directly and indirectly, to provide:
Direct care for complex cases, including neuropsychological assessment and therapy, working with patients and their families
Training in a range of psychological skills including CBT and cognitive rehabilitation skills, and skills in managing challenging behaviour after neurological illness forward and community rehabilitation health workers
Consultancy to teams, MDTs, GPs etc,
Supervision of other professionals, for example specialist nurses, in providing psychological care
Providing group interventions with other AHP's

Work is guided by precedent and clearly defined occupational policies, protocols, procedures and codes of conduct. The post holder is expected to work independently, using their discretion about when to refer to their manager. Duties fall under the following criteria;
